AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari is bracing up for a “difficult” tie against Atletico Madrid in the Uefa Champions League on Tuesday.
The Ghana international has admitted that the second leg will be tough in Spain after failing to win at San Siro.
“I must admit the second leg will be very difficult for us because they are a very good side,” Muntari told Football411. “I didn’t play the first game (due to suspension) so I cannot talk much about that, but what I saw in the game was that we missed numerous chances which can cost us dearly in the second leg.”
He added: “It would have been a different game all together if we scored those chances we created in the first leg and that could have been easy for us going into the second game in Spain.
“Now it looks very difficult, because they are playing very well, with a very strong squad and a good manager challenging with the big teams in Spain for the various trophies.”
“They have a very young and intelligent squad as well, we know them and we know how they played against us in the first leg, luck was not on our side in the first leg and we will be hoping we will get that luck in the second leg in Madrid and see what will happen.”
