The Udinese midfielder sees Michael Essien as one of the “pivots” in the Ghana team ahead of the World Cup
Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has said the Black Stars will benefit immensely from the services of Michael Essien at the 2014 World Cup.
Essien, who recently left Chelsea for AC Milan is now getting game time at San Siro, unlike Stamford Bridge where he was inactive.
Badu who sees Essien as his mentor said the former Real Madrid and Lyon player has a lot of experience which can drive the Black Stars at the tournament.
“Everyone knows the quality of Michael. We know what he can do for the nation. He’s in good shape and if he continues like this, he’ll be a blessing to us at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil,” Badu told Accra-basedRadio XYZ.
The Black Stars are in the same group with USA, Germany, and Portugal.
