The Turin-based Ghanaian is rallying his national team-mates to support the Ghana coach as the World Cup approaches
Juventus star Kwadwo Asamoah has said Black Stars have a lot of confidence in Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah ahead of the World Cup.
Appiah becomes the first local coach to qualify the four-time African champions to the Mundial.
Asamoah told the BBC the team is strongly behind the calm coach since that is the only way to maintain stability as well as progress at the football fiesta in Brazil.
“He’s been the one that we’ve been with during the qualification so we, the players still believe in him,” the 25-year-old said. “If we don’t believe in him it’s going to be difficult for us and for him.”
He added: “We have him right now so we have to do our maximum best to help him and support him. When we the players help the coach that is also when the coach will get confidence to do his job.”
Ghana will be playing US, Germany and Portugal at the group stage of the World Cup.
