No amount of anointing oil will save Ayittey Powers — Bukom Banku

Bukom-BankuBraimah Kamoko, alias Bukom Banku,  has declared that his fight with Ayittey Powers at the Accra Sports Stadium next April 18 would be a warm-up for his world cruiserweight title fight againt champion, Denis Lebedev, of Russia.

“I  will beat Ayittey mercilessly to satisfy my fans before turning my attention to the Russian to snatch his cruiserweight title,“ Bukom Banku told  Graphic Sports.

Describing  Powers as a braggart, he said his opponent would be totally humiliated to underline his readiness to wrest the world title.

“I want to fight  Lebedev and beat him to become a world champion, so I will use Ayittey Powers as a punching bag and launching pad.

“I’m just stepping up my training to ensure that I knock out my opponent to pave the way for my world title dreams,” Banku stated.

Alleging that his opponent had now turned to a spiritualist for support in their impending bout, Bukom Banku said no amount of anointing oil would save Powers in the ring on April 18.

Meanwhile, Banku’s manager, Abraham Kotei-Neequaye, has called for calm between the two camps.

According to him, there should be no acrimony and bad blood between the two boxers who once lived in the same community.

“They are brothers whose families are closely-related, so the contest should not bring any bad blood between them,,” he stressed.
