PHOTO: Prophet accused of stealing family gold

68777794.295A Kumasi based ‘man of God’ is under pressure to produce a pot-full of gold he allegedly stole from a family at Oyoko near Kokofu in the Ashanti region.

Prophet George Tetteh has been accused of going behind his employer, Agya Osei, the original owner, to steal the gold kept in a cocoa farm.

But the prophet, who claims to have experience in retrieving concealed gold for several families in Ghana, denies the accusations.

Speaking on Nhyira FM’s ‘Wiase mu Nsem’ show, Agya Osei and his 33-year-old daughter Adwoa Marfowaa, the family followed Prophet Tetteh’s directive to suspend retrieval of the pot of gold in a pit in the cocoa farm.

This was to enable them invite some family members to witness the necessary rituals for the retrieval of the gold. They suspect Prophet Tetteh went behind them to steal the gold before the appointed date.

The ‘man of God’ had earlier demanded a black goat, a bottle of schnapps and seven eggs, a request Agya Osei and his children could not meet. They eventually managed to buy a bottle of schnapps and some eggs which were used for what Prophet Tetteh described as spiritual cleansing.

However, Agya Osei and two of his children as well as the man of God were astonished and took to their heels, when a black cobra emerged from the pit which supposedly contained the gold.

This was followed by total darkness in the area after libation had been poured by Agya Osei.

According to Prophet Tetteh, those developments were because the spirits of Agya Osei’s late father, owner of the gold were not happy because no family member was involved.

He insisted the owner of the farm or an unidentified man could have stolen the gold from the pit since Agya Osei failed to provide 24-hour security at the farm.

Meanwhile, Agya Osei and his family have warned they will go all lengths to search for the stolen gold.
