TV3 workers up in arms against management over end of service benefit

7863772463881_9395641481814Workers of privately owned TV Station, TV3, are up in arms against management and board of the station, accusing them of failing to pay their End of Service Benefit.

Some of the protesting workers told Myjoyonline.com they had been negotiating for over two years for their ESB and just when it was time for payment a new management and board was put in place.

The new board has decided not to pay the ESB, the workers allege.

On Friday, the workers wore red attire, arm bands and placed a mini signboard just at the precincts of TV3 demanding to know who the owners of the station are?

Some of the workers chanted war songs demanding the immediate payment of their ESBs.

The management and the board are yet to comment on the matter.

Myjoyonline.com was told there was a crunch meeting between management of the station, officials of the Trades Union Congress and TV3 workers union to attempt to resolve the impasse.
