Black Stars trainer Kwasi Appiah says his doors are open to former national team captain, John Mensah and all Ghanaian footballers.
He said he would invite every Ghanaian footballer who is playing active soccer across the globe from January to May this year.
“John Mensah will be invited to the Black Stars if he plays actively for his club and he proves to be in top form,” the manager of the national team said.
“If he shows his old form then, there is no way that I won’t invite John to be part of the Black Stars,” he stressed.
Coach Appiah stated emphatically that “no Ghanaian player would be discriminated against in terms of selection to the Black Stars.”
The Ghana coach therefore entreated Ghanaian footballers across the globe to continue working hard to attract a national call-up.
Appiah, by qualifying the Stars to the Summer World Cup, becomes the first Ghanaian coach to record that feat.
