Miray gets on board

There is no doubt the music scene in ghana is male dominated but there are some female artiests who are giving the men a runb for thier money . and it is the successful stories of such female artists that have served as inspirational paths for up and coming artistes such as afro-pop singer,Miray to tread on . last week , Miray released her debut single SWAGGIN and SCREAM MY NAME .

SWAGGIN and SCREAM MY NAME are both afro-pop songs . Miray exhibits her flair in ragga as she intermittently spits some ragga jargons to spice her rap on SCREAM MY NAME which featured Atumpan.

With its fast tempo fused with francophone beats , the duo gives a good account of themselves with their style of raps as Miray confidently brags about how she can give any man a good treat to get them to scream her name . on swaggin Miray talks about how most ladies grab attention on the dance floor because “they know how to do it hot and chic” we make it pop , we ‘re doing it hot …we drop it down, we are swaggin… we goona bend down low on the floor, she sings about what ladies do to get that attention they want .

Listening to the song , one may hear vocal traces and styles of both tiffany and eazzy but Miray told SHOWBIZ last Monday that it only shows her versatility as an artiste and not that she wants to be a “copy cat”. “i am not copying anyone .its shows how versatile i am . swaggin and scream my name will be the yardstick for critics to judge my talent .”

Aside doing music , Miray is a actress and also works behind the scene as a film writer , producer and director . signed on to swagg luna gh management , Miray , real name ,Miray Manson Gomont first had a stint with the entertainment world when she participated in a dancing competition at ivory coast when she was nine years.
