MUSIGA warns Radio Stations not to play Up and Coming Afropop Artiste Rolly Panda’s ‘Kamasutra’ song?

1236654_782738111738496_3200164555387489851_nIt is not clear where the rumour emanated from, through out last week, fans of Rolly Panda, a promising Up and Coming Afropop Artiste were worried their icons latest song’ Kamasutra’ might not be lucky being on the playlist of Radio DJs.

The rumour which said the title of the song is sexually suggestive motivated the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) to issue that warning to the radio stations. The MUSIGA was tipped by someone close to the Artiste that, the Management Team has budgeted GHC8,000 for promotion of the song and since the MUSIGA has on several platforms said it does not support sexually suggestive songs made that move to dim the glowing of the song.

In an interview with www.233times.net , Rolly Panda has debunked the rumour saying, “I have no idea where that rumour is coming from. Even though people are saying the title of the song is profane, MUSIGA has not issued any warning as far as I am aware. All information available to me as to whether MUSIGA has done such thing say it is false.”

Checks by www.233times.net reveal that, some people are behind the uncontrollable spread of the rumour, their reason being that, the airwaves is flooded with a lot of sexually suggestive songs and this song which has the potential of hitting the airwaves could as well corrupt the mind of youths and listeners.

In a statement on his Facebook, Rolly Panda wrote;

The management of Rolly Panda Music wishes to inform the general public especially the loyal fans of rolly panda that “kamasutra” a new hit single of Rolly Panda has not been banned by MUSIGA
Hence the news about the ban is malicious , false and preposterous… However the song is enjoying massive play and official video is underway .. Thank you
