n aspirant to the position of General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Kwabena Adjei Agyapong has been involved in a serious accident on the Accra-Nsawan road.

Mr. Agyapong’s vehicle is reported to have somersaulted three times.

His aide , Davis Opoku Ansah who confirmed the accident to Citi News, said his boss and two others have been rushed to the 37 Military Hospital for treatment.

Kwabena Agyapong’s accident comes barely a week after another General Secretary aspirant, Nkrabea Effa Darteh, was involved in an accident.

Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the party, Mr, Owusu Afryie, also known as Sir John says he has taken a decision to “suspend the rest of his campaign until further notice due to the accident.”

“I am also proceeding to the 37 Military Hospital to visit Kwabena where, I am told, he is receiving treatment,” Sir John added.
