POLLS: Tadi (Oil City) decides who the Dancehall King in Ghana is

maxresdefaultThe question as to who the Dancehall King in Ghana has been debated for over a year since Shatta Wale and Samini started wrestling over the title. The Oil City (Takoradi) has decided who the Dancehall King in Ghana is. The residents of Takoradi on the popular drive show, ‘Aseda Kwanso’ on Aseda FM 105.9 in Takoradi called in to vote on the controversial title.

The unassailable host of the show, Asasewura, born Benedict Asase Cudjoe told www.233times.net that, tentatively, the Dancehall King title in Ghana is a much talked about topic in Takoradi but little or nothing has been heard from the general public and on his show yesterday decided to listen to his intelligent listeners ahead of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

He therefore gave the chance for 94 callers to decide who their preferred Dancehall King in Ghana is. The contenders of the title were Shatta Wale, Samini, Stonebuoy and Jupiter. According to the host, these were the names callers mentioned when they phoned in the show and per their mention; the names and votes were collated.

The votes of the 94 callers as collated are as follows:

Shatta Wale – 53

Samini – 21

Stonebuoy – 12

Jupiter – 8

The voice of the people is the voice of God. Does this poll have any influence on the Ghana Music Awards which is 3 days away?
