Volta Region Minister sends teddy bear to handing over ceremony and explains why (PHOTO)

hellen-Ntosoo-The new Volta Regional Minister, Hellen Adjoa Ntosoo, has publicly expressed her affection for teddy bears, describing them as comforting dolls.

This came to light during a symbolic and brief handing over ceremony between her and her predecessor, Nii Laryea Afotey-Agbo, who has taken over as the Greater Accra Regional Minister.

The ceremony was held in the Regional Minister’s Office in Ho, the regional capital, last weekend.

After the deliberations and exchange of pleasantries and speeches, Madam Ntosoo held her teddy bear close to her side.

She beamed with smiles as she responded to a question as to why she had a teddy bear by her side at that meeting, saying, “You know what teddy bears are for…it is for comfort…you know that right?”

She then refrained from further questions on the teddy bear which looked like a year old baby.

In her earlier remarks, she expressed excitement to be back to her home region and the place she was originally appointed to serve before being re-appointed to the Eastern Region. She stressed that the experience in the Eastern Region had given her enough ideas to serve the Volta Region better.

She urged all and sundry to eschew laziness and come on board to work as a team to transform the region within the shortest possible time.

Mr. Afotey-Agbo, on the other hand, wished his successor well and assured her of his unflinching and continued support in all her dealings. He was optimistic that the region would chalk more success with Madam Ntosoo in office.
