Agona Asafo: 17-year-old Student arrested for raping Teacher

342478181_49374The Agona Swedru Division of the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) of the Ghana Police Service, has arrested a 17 year–old form one student of the Nsaba Presbyterian Senior High School (SHS), for raping a 20-year old teacher-trainee at Agona Asafo.

Chief Superintendent Peter Abillah, Agona Swedru Divisional Crime Officer, who disclosed this to the Press at Swedru, said the student, Henry Nyakoh, went to the house of  the victim at Agona Asafo at about 13 hours  on Tuesday,  May 17,  to look for the junior sister of the victim.

According to the Crime Officer, Nyakoh did not see the girl but met the victim, who is a student of the  College of Education.

Chief Superintendent Abilah said Nyakoh pounced on the teacher-trainee and started removing her pants.

The Crime Officer said Nyakoh destroyed the pants of the student and finally had sexual intercourse with her, despite her plea that she was in her menstrual period.

The Crime Officer said the victim reported the matter to the DOVVSU at Agona Swedru and  Nyakoh was arrested while in school.
