Daddy Lumba angry at Pastors

113-lumba_400x2502Highlife heavyweight Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has accused some Ghanaian pastors of asking their church members not to buy his gospel songs because he is a secular artiste.

According to Daddy Lumba, these pastors who have vowed to ensure he does not succeed with his gospel career deliberately incite their church members to desist from buying his gospel albums.

The ace highlife singer, who did not mention names of his accusers, is of the view that, these pastors do not see him righteous enough to sing the glory of God.

Charles Kwadwo Fosu made this disclosure to the The Informer in Kumasi. He sounded unperturbed and stated that no one could bring him down, and he would continue to praise his marker through music, adding that “I would always sing to glorify my God and no one can take the gift from me.”

Daddy Lumba said he would be in no rush to produce a full gospel album, stressing that he would rather add gospel songs to any highlife album he produces.

Daddy Lumba in the mid-nineties released a gospel album ‘Mesom Jesus’ which became an instant hit.

Christians in the country were inspired by the album and the ‘Mesom Jesus’ gospel album still regions as one of the all time hit gospel album.

But some of the men of God had their hopes shattered when Kwadwo Fosu went to the world, and rather produced yet another ‘profane’ hit album ‘Aben wo ha’.
