MUSIGA says Shatta Wale’s awards are with them; “He asked us to take it for him” – Obour

A statement from MUSIGA, copied to www.233times.net states that, Shatta Wale’s awards are with the union (MUSIGA) of which Shatta Wale is a member.

The statement apologizes to the woman who is reported as a stranger and unknown to the Shatta Movement Family, saying she is a distinguished guest of MUSIGA and an ardent fan of the Artiste of the year.

Shatta Wale asked Obour to receive awards on his behalf should he win any since he will not be there. Obour therefore delegated the responsibility to the woman who picked the awards.

The statement unedited below;

“It has come to the notice of the MUSICIANS UNION OF GHANA of news making rounds that Shatta Wale’s awards are missing.”

“We wish to state that all the three  Awards are with MUSIGA and not missing as  reported,” the statement said.

“The lady who received Shatta Wale’s awards on the night  was a special guest of MUSIGA who is also a big fan of Shatta Wale and the Shatta Movement. She is a very respectable and honourable person and  we wish to apologise for any harm caused to her as a result of the publication.”

Shatta Wale will pick his three awards from MUSIGA, the statement adds.
