PHOTO: Mysterious tree resurrects

treeA BIG tree at Tunsuom Estate, near the Owusu Memorial Hospital, Sunyani, which was brought down by a heavy rainstorm about two weeks ago, has resurrected, throwing the entire city into fear and astonishment.

Residents told DAILY GUIDE that about three days ago a chainsaw operator went to cut the mystery fallen tree into pieces.

However, to their utmost surprise, the tree is up again, back to its original place and standing firm like it had never fallen.

Since the news of the resurrected tree went haywire on local radio stations on Wednesday morning, the place has become a centre of attraction, as hundreds of people have been there to catch a glimpse of the mysterious tree.

When DAILY GUIDE stormed the scene yesterday morning, the residents, who looked perplexed and stunned about the episode, described the tree as evil, alleging it was the operating point for some evil spirits.

According to them, before the mystery tree was uprooted by the heavy storm a fortnight ago, residents who treaded under it usually experienced some unusual heaviness.

DAILY GUIDE further gathered that those who initially tried to capture the resurrected tree with their phones were unsuccessful, as the image captured turned dark though it was daytime.

However, a section of the residents believed the happening was not spiritual, attributing it to a scientific process. This school of thought maintained that when the branches and the stem of the tree were cut, so much weight was lifted off the remains, making it possible for the few roots in the soil to push it up.

Meanwhile, some residents are calling for special prayers and rituals to be performed to clear the area from any spiritual attack.
