President Mahama to visit Ashanti Region

As part of advancing the ‘Better Ghana Agenda’, President Dramani Mahama would on Saturday May,3 pay a working visit to the Ashanti region.

Among other things, the President is expected to tour most of the region and to commission completed projects including a rural electrification project in Ejura municipality within the Ashanti region.

The project is funded by Government of Ghana (GoG) under the SHEP program.

Fifty-one (51) communities in the municipality has been connected to electricity by the program representing about 98% of electrified communities in the municipality.

The communities include; Fanti, Awabre, Asuaya, Gyakaka, Teacherkrom, Kobiriti, Dhawo, Kantankani and several others.

This was revealed by Mr. Aboagye Peter affectionately called Piero, the office of the MCE of the area.

President Mahama, we learnt, would also meet party executives to find amicable solution to the internal conflict between some members in the area.
