Les Phoceens coach believes none of his star players including the Ghanaian winger will leave ahead of his debut season with Marseille
Olympique Marseille manager Marcelo Bielsa has stressed that Ghana international Andre Ayew will stay at the Stade Velodrome, despite being linked with several clubs.
Bielsa said “untouchable” Ayew is vital in his plans for next season and will not allow him to leave.
The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Premier League outfits Arsenal and Liverpool, along with Serie A giants Napoli with the hope of offering him Champions League football next season.
“Andre Ayew, Steve Mandanda, Mathieu Valbuena, Dimitri Payet and André-Pierre Gignac are untouchable in my team and I am expecting to have them back here for pre-season,” Bielsa told the press.
He added: “There are some players a coach cannot do without and I am no exception. I expect to have these players playing for our shirt next season.”
Ayew is expected to play a vital role for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
