The Rennes defender lasted the entire duration of Ghana’s dramatic 2-1 defeat to the United States of America on Monday at the Arena Das Dunas, Natal.

John Boye amassed a 9.45 rating which ensured he surpassed the likes of Chile’s Alexis Sanchez and Australia’s Tim Cahil.

Again, stats obtained from renowned football data engine, Opta also revealed that John Boye attempted 44 passes and completed 91% of those passes during the Ghana – U.S.A game.

In addition, Boye won 5 of his 7 duels in defense and made an impressive 8 recoveries, eight clearances and 1 block in  Ghana’s group G opener against the United States of America.

Iran’s Mehrad Pooladi, U.S.A’s Geoff Cameron, David Luiz (Brazil), Phil Jagielka (England) followed in that respective order on the list.
