I had a spiritual consultation before picking NPP forms – Asamoah Boateng

18591118The Former Information Minister and also Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Stephen Asamoah Boateng popularly known as Asabee has described himself as a British ‘Bulldog’ who never gives up until it gets what it wants.

Speaking to Hello FM’s King Edward on Tuesday morning in an interview, Asabee explained that until he completes his God given task, he will not back off from the flagbearership race of the New Patriotic Party.

“It is not my personal decision and conviction to go into the race. I had a spiritual consultation with God before l made up my mind to go and pick my forms. Always sounding Biblical, Asamoah Boateng reiterated his biblical note that he is the David in the race who will surprise everybody,” he indicated.

Asabee who was speaking on his decision to join the flagbearership race of his party further added: “Look, l am spiritually leading the race while Nana Addo is slugging behind, I am going to win this race to shame everybody including my senior brother, Kwasi Pratt who thinks am still young to be President.”

Commenting on the fact that his supporters allegedly left him to cheer up Nana Addo Danquah when he was going to pick his nomination form, he described the allegation as false.

According to him, his supporters were still cheering him up and that it was a mischievous act by one of Nana Addo’s boys to run him down.

He however called on all party members to unite adding that campaign of vilification and insults will not help the party.

“After everything, unity within the party must be supreme to enable us win power come 2016,” he added.
