Kweku Baako says Prez. Mahama should sack Dep. Sports Minister for world cup comment

Joseph-YamminThe Editor-in-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr. has asked President John Dramani Mahama to dismiss the Deputy Sports Minister, Joseph Yamin.

Speaking on Peace FM‘s “Kokrokoo“, Kweku Baako Jnr. said Hon. Joseph Yamin should be sacked over some comments he recently made regarding the airlifting of supporters to Brazil for the FIFA 2014 World Cup.

Joseph Yamin is reported to have said that the majority of the supporters will come from the ruling party.

According to him, NDC sympathizers will be given the opportunity to travel to Brazil to support the Black Stars, stating that “NDC supporters deserve to be appreciated for their immense support to help bring back the party into power in 2008.”

But the senior journalist believes it was irresponsible on the part of the Deputy Sports Minister to suggest that NDC activists will be made to have a huge chunk of quota.

“Has the President heard this? He should remove him. He should be removed. This is serious. He should be sacked,” Kweku Baako Jnr. said.
