Family and friends of hiplife artiste Theophilus Tagoe popularly known as Castro, have arrived at Ada where he and a lady friend, Janet Bandu went missing Sunday.
The pair is suspected to have drowned during a Jet Ski ride at Peace Holiday Resort in Ada.
Family and friends have trooped to the town hoping for some good news from rescuers. But the rescue team has ruled out any possibility of finding the two alive.
Nana Adwoa Entsua Mensah of Radio Maxx in Takoradi reported that members of Castro’s family are keeping their hopes alive.
According to her, when she visited the family home of the musician at Port Quarters in Takoradi, his father, John Esshun had left for Ada.
Castro’s step mother, who could not hold back her emotions, said: “When we heard the news on Sunday, in fact it was very shocking…we are morning. Our prayer is that we should find him whether dead or alive so we can know what to do.”
Castro’s sister shared fond memories of him: “I’ve not been myself since Sunday. My brother and I were very close when I completed Secondary School, I had to stay with him in Accra. I was the youngest girl in the family so he really loved me, he cherished me [and] he was always there to protect me.”
According to her, she does not “want to believe that he is really dead. That is my last hope, until the body is found we can’t conclude anything.”
