Financial analyst Casely-Hayford says Senchi Report “Lazily done”

sydney-casely-hayford-620x320Financial analyst, Sydney Casely-Hayford has chastised the Vice President and his team for publishing a “poorly done” report on the National Economic Forum at Senchi.

“It is such a lazy output, it’s lazily done…there are typographical errors, there are spelling errors, it is lazily done,” he remarked.

The Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur on Wednesday presented the much anticipated Senchi Report to the President.

The report contains the decisions and recommendations made by stakeholders and government at the National Economic Forum which was held in Senchi in May this year.

The Senchi Report covers all major measures aimed at restoring economic stability for Ghana and the stimulation of growth.

According to Casely-Hayford, it is very probable that Mr. Amissah-Arthur and his team rushed through the report because of pressure from the general public.

He maintained that the report was released “to only appease those of us who are saying, where is the Senchi Report…there is no attempt to put it in as an anchor to resolving the economic management problems.”

The financial analyst noted that there is a lot of work to be done but he questioned the readiness of the Mahama-government to implement the recommendations in the report to solve the nation’s economic difficulties.”

“I don’t think that this government is seriously using the Senchi Report as a major economic tool to be able to resolve the problems in the economy.”

In a related development, the Executive Director of IMANI Ghana, Franklin Cudjoe agreed with Casely-Hayford’s observation that the report was riddled with errors.

He however acknowledged that the report fairly represented the outcome of the National Economic Forum.
