GETFund Contractors to demonstrate on Friday

contructorMembers of the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) Contractors Association are threatening a massive demonstration against government if they are not paid the arrears owed them.

According to the contractors, government has failed to pay arrears owed them for over one and a half years.

The association which says it is aggrieved over the developments is calling on government to urgently address their concerns.

The GETFund Contractors Association is a group under the Association of Road Contractors, Ghana.

A member and contractor of the association, George Agbo, told Citi News that “on Friday, there’s going to be a demonstration, we’ll go to GETFund from there we will go to the flagstaff house. We will let them know that we need our money.”

He went on to say they are ready to use all available means to ensure that government pays them.

“The GETFund is responsible for our payments; they are not doing their duties. We just want them to know that enough is enough, now we want to take a step.”
