Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari has saved an ailing girl from death after donating a cash of $5,000 to assist her undergo heart surgery.
The three-year-old, known as Essor, needed to cough up $5,000 to undergo surgery for a hole-in-heart problem.
Doctors had revealed she would die in the next couple of days if her family failed to find the said amount for the operation.
The AC Milan star, who is famous for his charitable work, was touched by the emotional appeal on a local television station, TV Africa, and rode there on his motorbike himself to make the generous offer on Wednesday.
Muntari disguised himself and went to the station without being noticed by employees.
It was only at the point of making the donation that they took notice of his presence and rushed on him for photographs.
The former Portsmouth star has been slapped with an indefinite suspension from the Black Stars after he was reported to have attack a top Ghana FA official.
He is currently in Ghana on holidays and will fly out in the next couple of days.
Muntari was one of Ghana’s outstanding players at the 2014 World Cup.
