Joselyn Dumas and PY Addo Boateng are both not returning to Viasat 1?s The One Show, when the programme returns in October.
Radio and TV columnist for Graphic Showbiz, Francis Doku, reports that the show is set to welcome female event host, and presenter Anita Erskine Amaizo, as host.
Miss Erskine is returning to a territory she is familiar with; she was the show’s maiden producer, and only left to pursue other interests subsequently.
She is to begin her walk into the new role with an on-screen familiarization exercise in July. She would sit in for Kokui Selormey on the morning show with Patrice Amegashie when the latter goes on maternity leave.
It is not clear why both have been yanked off the show save Doku reports in the case of PY: “the show would be focused more on women related issues than on the entertainment related issues that his partnership with Dumas produced in previous seasons. Anita will therefore be tasked to make the show more feminine to target that demography.”
An experienced television head, she comes to the show with an enviable resume.
Over the years, she’s made a name for herself in both mainstream local, and cross-boarder television career.
