Alan Kyerematen promises each constituency pick up vehicle

4932735522898_323966761999NPP delegates in the Northern part of Western and Ashanti Regions have said that the campaign message of Alan Kyerematen that focuses on rebuilding and uniting the party is what can bring back the NPP into power in 2016.

The enthused delegates who were full of hope after coming face to face with Alan Kyerematen to hear his vision for the future made the assertion during the last leg of his campaign tour dubbed ‘Alan for President 2016’.

In a discussion with the delegate’s they openly expressed frustrations over their inaccessibility to funds meant to support party activities.

They attributed this difficulty to staying in opposition over the past 6 years, a situation they say has severely hindered effective operations hence applauding the origination of Alan Kyerematen’s vision to put all executives at all levels who are willing to take up full-time party job on full monthly salary.

Delivering his campaign message, Mr Kyerematen indicated that party structures become reliable when the necessary resources are made available for use but unfortunately that is not the case for the NPP.

He boldly pointed out that the current state of the NPP portrays the weak nature of the party’s structures.

For Alan, capturing power in 2016 is non-negotiable but it requires a standing army for hard work and great vigilance on the ground throughout all the electoral processes.

Alan Kyerematen also proposed an NPP membership Drive Programme with the intent to find and register the about 6 million voters who support and sympathize with the NPP.

He disclosed that the members will serve as the back bone and strength of the party as they will be tasked to contribute GHC 1.00 monthly with the hope of amassing some GHC 6,000,000 each month accruing to about GHC 72,000,000 annually. This dues when realised will form the seed money for the new Investment Fund for the NPP and contributors will have shares in the party’s Investment Fund according to their contributions. This he says will make the NPP more attractive to Ghanaians.

Alan also promised to restart, on a massive scale, constituency business venture programs to ensure that NPP runs businesses at the constituency level.Proceeds from the ventures will be used to manage the party.

On the part of the delegates, these innovations can change the state of the party from being dependent to independent state.

He also assured delegates of his commitment to provide bicycles and motor bikes for all party operatives, a gesture he avers he has done in the past.

He also hinted that each constituency will receive one pick up if given the nod as flagbearer.

Alan Kyerematen said as a unifier, within 3 months he would bring together the factions in the NPP to form a united front to wrestle power in 2016.

He hopes to increase the decreasing percentage of voters in the Ashanti region which is the NPP’s stronghold to between 80%-85% and to 20% and or more in the Volta region.

He believes he has the appeal that Ghanaians want to enable him win over floating voters to the NPP.

The NPP Presidential hopeful, called on party delegates to remain analytical in their judgment over the selection of a candidate for the NPP’s super delegate’s congress which is less than 6 days away and ultimately the 2016 general elections.

Alan Kyerematen recounted his experience as a former Trade Minister, ambassador to the USA and one sponsored by the AU to contest for the World Trade Organisation Director General position.

He admonished delegates to base their decision on competence, experience, sacrifice, innovation and past track record.
