Marseille won’t sell Dede Ayew

Astute French journalist Pierre Menes has indicated that Marseille president Vincent Labrune has no intention to sell Ghana international Andre Ayew this transfer season.

He has also revealed that a German side Borussia Monchengladbach are interested in the Ghanaian.

“From talking with Vincent Labrune, he has absolutely no intention of wanting to let André Ayew go. He adores him so much… Monchengladbach are also interested in him,” Menes told Marseillas.

“I want to tell Andre personally also that he should not leave OM for Monchengladbach, as he’ll be depressed when he sees what the city looks like … I must say that there is no sea there!”

Menes added: “And if André Ayew remains, he will play left side of attack this season in a 3-4-3 formation Bielsa is fond of.”

Ayew scored five goals in 24 matches for the Stade Velodromme outfit in the 2013-14 season and despite spending close to three months on the sidelines with an injury he was his club’s best player.
