‘Producer’ of ‘Castro Amanihunu 1 & 2’ speaks

After a movie poster which had the title ‘Castro Amanihunu 1 & 2’ went viral, www.233times.net contacted the said producer of the movie on phone to get his take on why he decided to produce such a movie on a tragedy whose details are yet to be known.

Speaking to www.233time.com ‘s Nana Kwesi Coomson on phone, Mr. Samuel Odame said it was one of his boys who decided to design the poster and according to him, his employee was only trying his hands on a design and it is not a movie which has been produced and in stores like reports have it.

“It was my boys who did it. They do it to polish their craft in designing. They were only joking with it. You can even go to the market to find out; there is no movie like that in stores.” Mr. Odame said.

Asking him if he is aware how sensitive this case is to be joked with, Odame who is the CEO of Odame Productions said “Oh, I see them like kids who are learning designing. They sometimes even design cartoons and use their own pictures to design things so I didn’t see anything wrong with it.”

“I haven’t even checked the poster to see my number on it, you are revealing it to me, I just saw it on their computer, I didn’t even check to see my number on it” this was his answer to what his reaction was since his number was added to the poster.

“I am an editor; I edit video coverages of parties and funerals. I don’t produce movies” Samuel Odame posited. Poking him to know his intentions for the poster, this Reporter asked him if he designed this to promote himself and the production house. Odame in a laughter truthfully said “yes please, I don’t mean any malice. I was the one who even started designing it and the boys continued that is why I am saying they do that to polish their designing skills.”

Samuel Odame who spoke in Twi throughout the interview said he is sorry for the wrong impression created.
