Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah has rubbished reports that he intends to resign from his position.
Appiah’s job, which he has had since 2012, has come under intense scrutiny in recent times after successive failures at international tournaments.
He led Ghana team to fourth place at the 2013 AFCON and failed to progress from the group stage at the World Cup in Brazil.
There were several calls from fans and football pundits for him to be sacked but he signed a two-year contract extension in July.
Reports surfaced earlier in the week that the GFA was considering appointing a technical director for the Black Stars prompting suggestions that Kwesi Appiah would resign as coach. (Full story here)
However, Appiah has reportedly confided in close associates that he has no intention of leaving his post according to Goal Ghana.
Appiah, returns to Ghana from South Africa on Thursday and it is thought that he will meet GFA officials to discuss his future.
