Saturday’s meeting allowed both parties to dine, fraternize and share concrete ideas about how government intends to develop boxing in Ghana.

The meeting comes at the backdrop of the  Minister’s recent visits to the Cape Coast Stadium, Azumah Nelson Sports Complex and national team camps as he seeks to revive the dwindling sporting fortunes of the country.

He also assured Banku that the government was very concerned about boxing as a sport and was going to give serious considerations to the sport and the men and women involved in it.

Meanwhile, Bukom Banku will be fighting Ghana Army’s  John Napari in his next bout on October 3rd, 2014 and both parties have promised to give fans something bigger than what they experienced during the Banku-Powers bout in May.
