Notorious Criminal, Baba Musah, who has been on the police wanted list for some time now, has been identified as one of the six blood-thirsty gangsters that shot broadcast journalist Kwadwo Marfo during a robbery operation in a house at Nkoranza near Kumasi, recently.
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has consequently placed a staggering GH¢5,000 ransom on Baba Musah’s head. The money would be given to anybody that would provide any information that would lead to the dangerous robber’s arrest.
DCOP Kofi Boakye, the Regional Commander, at a press briefing in Kumasi on Thursday, described Baba Musah as “deadly,” adding that the wanted robber used to wear braided hair (rasta) but he had shaved it recently to disguise himself.
He said police intelligence had it that Baba Musah, Saddat Bawali; a resident of Patase; Nazi and Joe Crack as well as two others who are currently on the run, raided one Maxwell’s home at Nkoranza where the journalist was shot.
DCOP Kofi Boakye stated that Kwadwo Marfo, a worker at Kapital Radio, who was shot alongside two other people, was not the target of the masked robbers, adding that they targeted the house owner.
The Ashanti Regional Police Commander stated that so far, nobody had been arrested in connection with the dastardly incident,
noting that the police were working assiduously to arrest the perpetrators.
He said Baba Musah, who had been linked with several bloody robberies in the region, was again the gang leader of the Nkoranza robbery, adding that his arrest would help the police to apprehend his accomplices.
DCOP Kofi Boakye said some prominent people in the region who had seen the good works of the police – with regards to fighting crime – had pledged to offer GH¢5,000 to any person that would provide information leading to Baba Musah’s arrest.
