PHOTO: Minister escapes death

Eastern-Regional-MinisterReports reaching us indicate that the Eastern Regional Minister, Antwi Boasiako Sekyere, has been treated and discharged
following a motor accident he was involved in on Tuesday.

The accident occurred when a Satun car with registration number GW 690 – 12, purportedly veered off its lane and collided with the minister’s official vehicle at Amonokrom, a town on the Akuapem ridge.

The minister was reportedly driving home around 10:00 pm after attending an official assignment in Accra. DAILY GUIDE learned
that he sustained minor injuries and was rushed to the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Government Hospital at Mampong- Akwapim.

When contacted by this paper Wednesday morning, Ms. Mavis Frimpong, the Deputy Regional Minister, confirmed the accident but she could not state what actually caused it.

The two mangled vehicles were towed away to the Akropong Divisional Police Headquarters.
