21st September is set aside as a national holiday to celebrate the birth of Ghana’s first president Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. This same day is tagged National Volunteer Day and the youth are encouraged to come together to volunteer to make a positive change in the community they find themselves.
A lot of the youth across the country participated one way or the other in an activity. Cape360, an online magazine that promote music and art in Central Region wasn’t left behind in this important milestone.
Cape360 and friends organized a clean-up exercise at Cape Coast’s Metro Hospital to create a healthy environment in the hospital and along the sea side.
In attendance were the CEO and members of Deon Africa, CEO and members of Unique Future Consults, Cape360 members, the 2014 Miss Oguaa Contestants, friends from Winneba, friends from the media and many more.
After the exercise, we enjoyed a bottle of Sobolo and also took the opportunity to discuss issues confronting the youth and suggested ways we can all come together to develop the region and cause a positive change in the region.
