Kwaw Kesse says dancehall artiste, Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jnr, popularly known as Shatta Wale, is not his friend in the music industry.
The controversial rapper disclosed this in an interview on Hitz FM’s Cruise Control and reiterated that the ‘Dancehall King’ hit singer is known to him but insisted they nothing specifically in common.
“Shatta Wale is a buddy, not a friend,” he said.
He said they do not communicate and he doesn’t even have Shatta Wale’s phone number; “I do not even have his contact”, he stated.
For some time now there seem to simmering tension between the two artistes who belong to different music genres in Ghana.
Recently, Kwaw Kese tweeted that some Ghanaian artistes travel to America and then behave like tourists. There were allegations that Kwaw Kese was taking poke shots at Shatta Wale who had visited the US for some performances.
Shortly after those tweets, Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bulldog and manager of Shatta Wale also stated on tweeter that: “Tourist comes out of the word Tour …We are on tour so we are tourists. Go back to school dummy Lol”.
The exchanges on social media are believed to indicate a rift between the two artistes.
