Beef alert: Takoradi Artistes fire Pappy Kojo to stop calling himself ‘realer no’

The power of words is best understood and valued by wordsmiths. Just as in law, a single omission of word or introduction of word like ‘as,’ ‘then,’ ‘at’ etc could change the whole context of a case, Dancehall Artistes are also particular about who they address as Shatta; that’s why Samini has never called Shatta Wale by his new name but always addresses him as Bandana because according to bits of information picked by deep throats of Samini, he (Shatta Wale) hasn’t attained that Shatta status yet.

In Takoradi, a similar issue is erupting. A popular Rap movement, PsyphaRilla is up in arms against the new kid on the block, Pappy Kojo real name Jaison. The alumnus of Ridge International School, Pappy Kojo suddenly rose to fame with his hit song ‘Realer No.’ Not envious of his gradual acceptance by Ghanaians, PsyphaRilla rap movement crew are advising the Rapper to stop using the word ‘realer.’ “He claims he reps Tadi but is residing in Accra and making this baseless claim. He is not the ‘realer no,’ Wizzloso, a member of the PsyphaRilla angrily said in a video which was filmed at a notorious neighbourhood in Takoradi, Amanful. “Is he saying he is the realer?” Wizzloso was irritated hearing ‘Tefour’ titling himself by that.

The Manager of the movement, Zibit, real name Ato Kwamena Asankomah was also seen in the video claiming he is speaking on behalf of the angry Takoradi fans who want Pappy Kojo to stop mentioning Takoradi in his songs since the Takoradi he left is not the same he has “come from wherever to rep.” Quoting a line from his rap, Zibit poked Pappy asking him to slow down on his cheetah pace directionless journey.

Efforts to reach Pappy Kojo on phone proved futile but www.233times.net is following up to hear from Pappy Kojo too.

The video, captioned ‘fair warning Wizzy Tefour Pappy Kojo Shame’ below;
