Revealed: Juveniles allowed to watch hardcore pornography at Borstal Institute

Lord-Kenya-Miss-Ghana-And-Lesedi-Foundation-inspire-Borstal-Inmates-91A former inmate at Ghana’s borstal institute for juveniles, Moses Louis Ametemey, has revealed that minors at the facility are allowed to watch hardcore pornography.

The correctional and re-formational centre is meant for holding minors, who commit serious crimes.

Ametemey, who was incarcerated at the facility from 2004 to 2007, told Kojo Yankson on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show Monday that the inmates normally procured hardcore pornographic videos from outside through the help of some of the security officers at the facility.

According to him, inmates who crave for pornography pay the officers to buy the porn CDs for them. He said both inmates and officers sometimes watched the videos together.

He said some of the officers, who have downloaded pornography on their mobile phones, also allow some of the minors to watch the videos on their gadgets.
