Samini was it really necessary?

yThere is an Akan parlance that “when your neighbour’s chin is burning, you put water by yours.” I don’t know if Samini has slight idea what this means.

Yesterday when news broke that, Charter House has sued Shatta Wale Ghc10 million for defamation, Samini sarcastically tweeted asking his followers to help him convert the amount into USD $. This tweet made headlines on tabloids but the question is, was it really necessary for the Highgrade Family Leader to tweet this and make mockery of it? Obviously, Samini is praying for the doom of Shatta Wale.

Undeniably, Shatta Wale’s attacking video on Charter House had a lot of brilliant concerns which should have been discussed on most platforms but his approach was what I had problem with. It would have been better without the insults and aggressiveness.

There are a lot Artistes in other parts of the country making waves in their regions and with a little help from a giant like Charter House on their prestigious Ghana Music Awards and GH ONE platforms, these Artistes would wrestle with big names in the country. I can mention Sketches Ayesem, Expo, Nero X, Jungo, Koby Simple, Rolly Panda, Morning T among others.

Charter House sometimes makes it obvious that, they are not for the interest of the Entertainment Industry in Ghana but they are here with the sole aim of profit, to hell with Ghanaians (that’s the impression I sometimes have).

The point that most Artistes in other parts of the country need to be given chance on Charter House platforms to catalyst their career as raised by Shatta Wale in his video was amazing and needed some discussion on entertainment platforms to poke the Nigerian owned Charter House. I found it surprising when I saw the tweet from Samini giggling the fall of Shatta Wale. Was it really necessary, I asked myself? Hmm!
