‘Money go Flow’ production CEO, Nhyiraba Kojo, real name Rashid Joseph has since his surface on the musical stream been known for controversies. One popular of the controversies is his wealth which were questioned some years back when he started sharing money on stage anytime he performs his ‘savior’ song, ‘Turn Around’ featuring D. Cryme.
Nhyiraba Kojo was in London last month and he capitalized on his presence there to promote his songs and launch a new one, ‘Yaayi.’ In the song, Nhyiraba Kojo was addressing issues on rumours and allegations in and outside the media. According to him “Ghanaians dey chew konkonsa (gossip) like chinchinga (khebab). Because of evil mind, they are not able to sleep, den say I go take sakawa…. 419 Daddy Lumba.”
That rap stanza in the song where Nhyiraba Kojo ‘similed’ 419 with Daddy Lumba (DL) is what is making fans of the legend angry. According to friends and relatives in London, Nhyiraba Kojo was probed on some radio station in London to explain why he disrespected DL.
Contacting Nhyiraba Kojo on phone, he affirmed the rumour and said it is even worse than www.233times.net heard. According to him “Daddy Lumba is big among the Ghanaian populace regardless of where they are so they take offence when you say anything bad about him. I was even contacted by some fans in UK not to grant some interviews because people will call in to diss me. This was a very hectic time for me. My stay was great until this came up.”
“Why did you say 419 Daddy Lumba? Isn’t that disrespectful” this Reporter asked Nhyiraba Kojo. His reply was, “I did not mean any malicious intentions, we are in Ghana and you hear people saying they paid Daddy Lumba for a gig and he didn’t show up, he is 419 among others. In the song, I was only talking about the way some Ghanaians like spreading untrue stories and if you listen to the song, you will understand the concept. So I was only saying that to address the false rumours people say about Daddy Lumba.”
Nhyiraba Kojo apologized to his fans and fans of Daddy Lumba for the wrong impression created.
