Why was I excluded from Black Stars coaching list? – Milovan Rajevac

556901389422_4647687946808Former Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has expressed shock over his exclusion from the five-man shortlist to be considered for the vacant Black Stars coaching job.

The Ghana Football Association selected Michel Pont, Patrick Kluivert, Marco Tardelli, Avram Grant and Juan Ignicio Jimenenz for interview out of which one will be appointed for the vacant post.

The five coaches were shortlisted following the thorough work by three-man committee setup to look for a new coach for the Black Stars.

The absence of Milovan Rajevac from the list has surprised many. The Serbian was thought to be in the frontrunner for the job but could not make the cut.

Nenad Glisic who worked with Milo as an interpreter during his two-year spell as Black Stars coach says the Serbian trainer is shocked the select committee overlooked him.

“He is really surprised because he thought Ghana will seriously take him into consideration after rejecting some offers that came his way, he was keen on returning to work again with the Ghana FA,” he exclusively told Joy Sports.

“He was successful during his stay and since he knows the players and the fantastic relationship with the federation and the journalist he was so serious about coming back.

“It is just unfortunate that he was not included and I must tell you that he is not happy at all.”

Pont, Kluivert and Tardelli will arrive in Accra to be interviewed on October 17, 2014 while Grant and Jimenez will be interviewed on October 18, 2014.
