Juventus are reportedly increasingly concerned with Kwadwo Asamoah’s inflamed knee, which could require surgery.
The versatile Ghanaian has been out of action since the beginning of November with the issue and has so far been working to a personalised recovery in a bid to resolve it.
However, Tuttosport say that the 25-year-old continues to struggle with the joint and that whilst the club are doing everything they can to avoid surgery, it may prove to be an option necessary.
It is reported that the club need to see positive indications this week from the player’s course of treatment so far, otherwise an operation will be considered.
Any procedure will reportedly keep Asamoah sidelined for as long as two months.
The club are testing out the player’s response during the course of today, but Asamoah sat out training and has not been included in the squad to face Malmo in the Champions League tomorrow.
