Striker Emmanuel Osei Banahene of Al Orobah, Saudi Arabia has earned his debut senior call-up in Ghana’s squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixtures against Uganda and Togo.
Acting Black Stars coach Maxwell Konadu Sunday unveiled a 23-man roster for the double header. Banahene is replacing captain Asamoah Gyan who is injured.
The four-time African champions who are on top of their group with eight points will begin training Tuesday in Accra ahead of their trip to Kampala on Thursday, a GFA statement said.
The Black Stars will round up the campaign with a home game against Togo after the game with Uganda.
