I would dance to Kwabena Kwabena’s adult music again – Sonnie Badu

Sonnie-BaduCelebrated gospel musician Sonnie Badu is ready to dance to Kwabena Kwabena’s Adult music again, but this time at home with his wife.

Sonnie came under a lot of backlash three months ago when he danced to the popular sensual song composed by circular music genius Kwabena Kwabena and dancehall mastermind Samini on his wedding day as he and his beautiful wife Ann-Marie Davis had their first couple’s dance.

Many people within the Christian community criticised Sonnie for “failing” to set a good example to young Christian by doing what they considered as “promoting ungodly behaviour and music.”

But speaking on the Starr Chat with Bola Ray on Starr 103.5FM, the ‘Baba’ singer said he was not surprised to hear people criticise him in Ghana.

“I was not upset, I was not surprised as well. It all comes with the Job. Sometimes when one doesn’t get an information right, they portray it in a different way so once you get a good management, they deal with whatever they need to do.”

When asked if he would dance to the tune again, he said “Yes, with my wife in the house I would. She loves it, in fact she loves the beat and it was good introducing her to African music.

“Kwabena Kwabena is a good songwriter. I would go to a Kwabena Kwabena show.In fact I spoke to him and I said yeah I’m coming to your show cos I’m a big fan of his” he added.

The intimate wedding ceremony officiated by Rev. Dr. Victor Osei of Family Chapel in Kumasi and Pastor Kingsley Appiagyei of the Trinity Baptist Church was attended by few people close to the gospel musician and his wife.
