1st year female student of Legon stabbed

legon_eA level 100 female student of the University of Ghana was on Tuesday night stabbed on the Evandy-TG road on her way back to her hostel from a prayer meeting.

The sad incident occurred around 10:25 pm while the lights at the hostels were out. The unknown attackers took advantage of the ‘dumsor’ on campus to visit their cruelty on the innocent student.

The lady whose name was given as Michelle according to reports, was returning from a Campus Christian Fellowship (CCF) prayer meeting when the unfortunate incident happened.

She was stabbed in the head and also sustained cuts on her right fore-arm. An eye witness who arrived at the scene shortly after the unfortunate incident said the thiefs took her bag containing a phone and other valuables.

He told Adomonline Wednesday morning that an oncoming vehicle offered to take the lady to the Legon hospital. The Students Representative Council has contacted parents of the young lady who is currently on admission at the hospital.
