Hiplife musician, Kwaw Kese, also known as Emmanuel Botchwey, has been rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in the Ashanti region for medical attention.
According to Citi News’ Ashanti Regional Correspondent, Hawa Iddrisu, Kwaw Kesse was in prison custody when he took ill.
Kwaw Kese’s lawyer, Nana Kwasi Boaitey, argues that the speculation by the police that the substance was Indian hemp was not enough for the court to deny his client bail.
Since his arrest, major stakeholders in the music industry such as former hiplife artiste Lord Kenya, made calls for the release of the musician.
Lord Kenya, now Evangelist Lord Kenya, has said in various interviews that though the law must take its course, a human face must be applied in the case.
