nana-kwabena-nketsia-v-500x330Residents of Essikado in Sekondi-Takoradi are calling on the police to come to their aid as thievery in the community is becoming unbearable. The residents who have battled the incident for some weeks now say the thieves have added chloroforming to their escapades.

Speaking to Philip Osei Bonsu on the Jolly Breakfast Show (JBS) today on Skyy Power FM 93.5 in Takoradi, a victim who was induced by the chloroform mentioned that, the thieves consumed palmnut soup of a resident in the Essikado area and another victim who sells plantain chips suffered a loss when her plantain chips were eaten by the thieves.

The victim whose name was given as Gifty was admitted at the Essikado Hospital after being chloroformed said “someone’s GHC15,000 was stolen by the thieves, they are worrying us. We were watching TV till 3:30 am and we were chloroformed by the thieves. They take everything they see, they have taken someone’s plantain chips and they have even consumed someone’s palmnut soup when they went into the house.”
