The Algerian attacker has stressed that the deputy Ghana captain can brag about their chance, but the final call of action will be the pitch
Algeria forward Nabil Bentaleb has said he is unfazed about whatever Ghana winger Andre Ayew says because the field will finally decide the outcome of their game on Friday.
The Black Stars lost their opening match by 1-2 to the Teranga Lions while Algeria also came from behind to beat South Africa 3-1 thus setting the stage for an epic clash.
“It will be a very difficult game. We will have to stay focused and keep the same mindset displayed against South Africa. We know we can do better,” Bentaleb told selected journalists at the team’s hotel Wednesday.
“Ayew is allowed to speak. He can say what he wants. We only focus on ourselves and we do not give importance to others. We know that it is the pitch which will decide.”
Bentaleb will be one of the key players the Ghanaian defense will keep an eye on due to his pace and power. The west Africans need at least a draw to keep their hopes alive in the tournament ongoing in Equatorial Guinea.
