Black Stars facing accommodation challenges? GFA speaks

IMG_1805Vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Fred Crentsil says the Black Stars are not facing any problems with their accommodation in Equatorial Guinea unlike some of their counterparts.

Some teams in Group A of the AFCON 2015 tournament are still searching for rooms to accommodate their officials.

Burkina Faso is the latest to complain about the situation with their coach Paul Putt saying that CAF should have consequently postponed the tournament to June.

Congo, was the first to have complained about lack of hotel rooms for five of its contingent.

Its coach Claud Le Roy revealed that the hotel the bulk of his team are in lacks running water and had exposed cables.

But Fred Crentsil who doubles as the General Coordinator for the national teams insists the Black Stars have not had any of such problems.

“I can assure you that we are not in that position at all, we sent a team there to inspect the hotel and when we realised that the rooms were not adequate enough, we got in touch with the consul in Equatorial Guinea so we do have enough accommodation for the players and officials.”
