Black Stars line up against E. Guinea: Gyan out, Jordan in

gyan scoresCaptain Asamoah Gyan has failed to make Ghana’s starting line- up for the semi finals match against Equatorial Guinea on Thursday.

The Black Stars skipper suffered an abdominal injury after Guinean goalkeeper Naby Yattara stamped him in the dying minutes of the quarter-finals match between the two sides last Sunday.

Jordan Ayew will now partner Kwesi Appiah in attack for the Black Stars as they take on the host nation at the Estadio de Malabo.

Coach Avram Grant has maintained his defensive quartet made up of Harrison Afful and Baba Rahman as fullback with John Boye and Jonathan Mensah in the central positions.

Andre Ayew and Christian Atsu will start on the flanks for Ghana with Mubarak Wakaso and Afriyie Acquah once again playing in central midfield.

The game is scheduled to kick off at 7pm.
