Brand new Jeep Cherokee to each Black Stars player and management members

maxresdefaultPlayers and Management members of the Ghana Black Stars would receive a Jeep Cherokee each for placing second at the just ended 2015 edition of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

The vehicle forms part of the reward Government is presenting to the senior national team for their ‘do well’ performance at the tournament hosted by Equatorial Guinea.

The Jeep Cherokee vehicle cost $76,000 each and would be supplied by Tannick Automobile, a company located on the Ashaiman-Tema motorway. The company is known for importing Jeep and Chrysler vehicles into the country.

Asempa Sports reported that the company has already supplied seven of the vehicles. Sports Minister, Mahama Ayariga, Asempa Sports was exclusively informed, had taken delivery of his Jeep Cherokee vehicle.

Family members and relatives of the players who have left the shores of the country for their various bases in Europe would in the course of the week walk in to the yard of the company and drive home one of the vehicles.

President Mahama announced a package $25000 each for the players on their return from the tournament.

He further pledged the players that more packages would follow.

Meanwhile, Communications Directorof the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Sannie Darra has rubbished claims that government is preparing to hand each Black Stars player and management member a Cherokee Jeep.
